Supporting Local
We always endeavour to support other local businesses, especially given the exceptional quality of local produce in Devon.
We are lucky to be so well placed in the centre of Tavistock so we can get the freshest ingredients as required.
We buy our steaks from J&S Downing, the local butchers just across the road from us and they also hand make all our 100% steak burgers.
Our fresh fruit and veg comes from Continental Fruits just down the road and of course our lovely ice cream from The Dartmoor Ice Cream Co. created in Princetown.
We sell craft ale made in Tavistock at the Stannary Brewery and our coffee is a special blend made at Tamar Koffee in Liskeard.
Even the free range eggs we use in our pancakes come from a local farm.
So when you visit us your support is not only appreciated by us but by many others in the local community.
The Local Artist
The artwork in the café (including the beautiful painting of lemon trees that was specially commissioned) is by talented local artist Pippa Squire.
She is currently working on creating prints from her work so hopefully they will be available to purchase soon.
